After contacting the German label Parquet Recordings, we got an exclusive interview with Normen Flaskamp aka Solee, who is also the manager and founder of this label. We discovered him with his track “Impressed”, that I notably played in a warm up with Paul van Dyk. I wanted to begin by thanking the label and especially Solee who answer our questions. On the occasion of DJ Awards 2010 ceremony that held @ Pacha Ibiza a few days ago, the results of this ranking has been delivered and rewarded various artists from the electronic music world. It has emanated from the ranking, the nomination of the best track of the year. The track awarded is the one of the German producer Butch and its track "No worries". Butch is a very good DJ and producer that we discovered in 2007 and his second track "On the Line" that has been released with a massive remix of Oxia, a classical minimal track. To tell you everything we’ve heard "No worries" before, but it did not particularly catch our attention at first.

It's been a while since I gave you some news about Cassius. It was already more than one year ago, for the release of the EP « Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes ». A year later, the French duo returns with its new EP "The Rawkers EP”. The duo that consists of Philip Cerboneschi (Zdar) and Hubert Blanc-Francard (Boom Bass), had originally wanted to release this album on their own label Cassius Records, and at the end it will be released on Ed Banger Records. These tracks will come out first as a vinyl on October 4 and then on October 11 in a digital edition. The first extract of this album « I <3 U SO » is already available on Beatport for a few days.

A few days ago, we reviewed the latest EP from Kris Menace « Masquerade EP » released on the label Size Records. It turns out that yesterday, the German artist has released the official video of his new single featuring Emil: "Walking on the moon". The video, visible in the following article shows us the singer in a pretty amazing choreography! We conclude the article "Masquerade EP" by asking us if Kris had changed his artistic direction, and now it seems that it is the case. "Walking on the moon", that will be released on November 15, is a commercial track that is composed with what is the strength of Kris Menace: a rhythm based on funky samples.

Prodigy "Smack My Bitch Up" is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of the British group, who founded the movement of modern electronic music. Best known for its insane clip, this track has been remixed by one of the wonders of the Swedish electronic music scene, less known than his companions of the Swedish House Mafia, I named AN21, which is none other than Steve Angello’s brother. This remix has been produced too with one of the leading DJs of the moment, the Moldovan Max Vangeli. These two, who already work together (cf. « Valodja » article) delivers an excellent remix, accompanied by a video clip realized by fans of the duo!
