You will find in this category each week, a review on a top vinyl which is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
On the occasion of DJ Awards 2010 ceremony that held @ Pacha Ibiza a few days ago, the results of this ranking has been delivered and rewarded various artists from the electronic music world. It has emanated from the ranking, the nomination of the best track of the year. The track awarded is the one of the German producer Butch and its track "No worries". Butch is a very good DJ and producer that we discovered in 2007 and his second track "On the Line" that has been released with a massive remix of Oxia, a classical minimal track. To tell you everything we’ve heard "No worries" before, but it did not particularly catch our attention at first.
Butch is a German DJ from Frankfurt. Already nominated in 2007 for the Beatport Music Awards in the categories "Best Dance" and "Best Techno Remix", he confirms in 2010 his potential. This prize comes as a surprise, however it is well deserved and reflects for us a reward more in terms of activity as a producer on the beginning of 2010, than a reward for the track "No worries" itself.
Young artist and a full of potential to deliver, especially acclaimed for his songs like "On the line" or "Amelie", he offers a production that appears, when you hear it as a whole, fairly linear. It is composed of a charming beat and a sweet feminine voice. Without an ascending or a descending rhythm, the track remains effective even if the voice becomes oppressive for a few seconds!
This track has been released in May on a vinyl version under Cecille Records (a German label) and was accompanied on the B side of the track "Tease Me". More recently, Butch has released a new track "XTC" on the label 100% Pure.
As you can understand, we deeply support the artist for all the work he has done in the previous months. Nevertheless we emit some doubts about the reward for the best title of the year with “No worries”, especially because for us, for instance, the B-side "Tease Me" is more punchy and more groovy....
