You will find in this category each week, a review on a MP3 track or vinyl track which is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
Prodigy "Smack My Bitch Up" is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of the British group, who founded the movement of modern electronic music. Best known for its insane clip, this track has been remixed by one of the wonders of the Swedish electronic music scene, less known than his companions of the Swedish House Mafia, I named AN21, which is none other than Steve Angello’s brother. This remix has been produced too with one of the leading DJs of the moment, the Moldovan Max Vangeli. These two, who already work together (cf. « Valodja » article) delivers an excellent remix, accompanied by a video clip realized by fans of the duo!
I must admit that the original track was really good, but the remix is just as massive. Graciously offered for free by the artists themselves on their Soundcloud accounts, I urge you to play it during your mixed session because it will directly boost the dancers in front of you!
The track is effective because it uses the basic notes of the original production by adding a touch of dynamism quite phenomenal. The remix that is triturated in every sense, keeps the essential substance of the original version as a base and adds it more progressive and underground formidable melodies. The voice is also present and doing its purpose. This song is sick!
As mentioned previously, the track comes with a clip, which also includes the original music video codes, with an onboard camera as the eyes of an actor. We follow the journey of a young person who goes to a masked ball, a bit like in "Eyes Wide Shut". If the original ended with a twist, the discovery of the main character’s sex is the opposite of what we can imagine, it is different here. The clip is produced with super sexy girls, who go beautifully with the remixed production.
It is a very interesting and massive track. Finally, as a bonus you can find another bootleg by Max Vangeli and distributed as free on his Facebook account. It is based on the track of the French producer Arno Cost, with an house music ambiance. Enjoy the sound!
