Hauk N Baum - Interview
The Dutch duo Hauk 'n Baum consists of the two very good friends Tristan Moons and Rinke Beckers. Growing up in Amersfoort, Tristan played the clarinet and Rinke played the drums. These days they aim to make impulsive, energetic and melodic techno. Their music is deep, moving, highly danceable and full of love. They have played at numerous parties around the Netherlands. Their first release, “Mascotte” / “Welmoed”, was released by Parquet Recordings in December 2011 and we liked it a lot. Other great tracks too have been released during 2012 like “Der Ereignies EP” or “X8ZF”.

Catz N Dogz - Interview
If you don’t know them by now, their full Polish names are Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk but you can call them Greg and Voitek. As DJs you are likely to find them playing disco/deephouse at the small parties they organize frequently in Berlin and Szczecin as well as tech-house and techno at festivals and big clubs all over the world. Soon after that, they began to produce records together as the techno centric “3 Channels,” eventually evolving into Catz n’ Dogz - a grooving, category-free mixture of modern music. The interview followed notably the ones of other famous producers like DJ Hell, Extrawelt, Marc Romboy, or M.A.N.D.Y..

Kolombo - Don t be shy EP
The hardest working Belgian might very well be Olivier Grégoire aka Kolombo, a man with more releases under his belt than a dog has hair and a long-standing contributor to the electronic dance music scene. Having gone through nearly all stages of the industry – including DJing, producing, promoting parties and the founding of a label –, he amassed an invaluable skill set allowing him to craft masterful tunes for distinctive floors notably his latest “Whatever U Like” played recently by Maceo Plex. Case in point is “Don’t be shy EP”, Kolombo’s new 12“ on Kompakt holding what can be considered his finest work to date. But for me the best still remains the same : “Sniff”.

Les Limaces - Smoked Beat
On March 9 will be released "Smoked Beat", the second album of the Montreal electro duo Les Limaces (The Slugs), under the independent imprint Tasty Bytes Records. Received as a promo, it was clear from the first notes that it will be an incongruous musical discovery! It will also be officially launched at the Full Circle, an event to be held on March 10 at the Espace Réunion, in Montreal. During it, the Limaces will perform live, with a range of artists including the Portuguese Dj Pena, the Montrealers Omni, Mono-poly and Digital Committee. This album that sounds like an electronic slap makes us slaver. So it was impossible for me not to review it!

Systematic Colours - Volume Three (Mixed by Phonique)
“Systematic Colours Volume Three” mixed by Phonique is a not-to-be missed snapshot of Marc Romboy’s vision for his record label, Systematic Recordings. Mixing classic releases with newer material, it is an opportunity to revisit some memories and to look to the future. Taking the reins for the third in the series is Phonique. He deftly stitches the compilation together, blending tracks with a very nice effect. Don’t miss it!

Indeed, at the end of this month, Rodriguez Jr.'s debut album will finally arrive in the stores, featuring 11 tracks of original productions by Mobilee's French musical maestro, a man that we interviewed last year (Rodriguez Jr.'s interview). Now it's time for him to take his new live show on the road and after the success of the opening date of the “Bittersweet” album tour at Berlin's world renowned Panorama Bar the standards have been set high. He will travel across Europe over the course of September and October, and on to South America in November. Here is a review about his new album, one of the best of the year 2011.

Adultnapper and Mr C present Sycophant Slags - Anti Sailing EP
Here is the new Get Physical release of Adultnapper & Mr C pres. Sycophant Slags “Anti Sailing EP” including a Smash TV Remix. Sycophant Slags is the devilish duo of Mr C and Adultnapper. The project is a very special meeting of minds between the London legend and the New York multi-talent. After a successful string of hits like last years "Keep Off", the twosome is now bringing its deeply twisted and dirty house music to Get Physical for their first outing of 2011.
