Catz N Dogz - Interview
If you don’t know them by now, their full Polish names are Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk but you can call them Greg and Voitek. As DJs you are likely to find them playing disco/deephouse at the small parties they organize frequently in Berlin and Szczecin as well as tech-house and techno at festivals and big clubs all over the world. The interview followed notably the ones of other famous producers like DJ Hell, Extrawelt, Marc Romboy, or M.A.N.D.Y..

Kolombo - Don t be shy EP
The hardest working Belgian might very well be Olivier Grégoire aka Kolombo, a man with more releases under his belt than a dog has hair and a long-standing contributor to the electronic dance music scene. Having gone through nearly all stages of the industry – including DJing, producing, promoting parties and the founding of a label –, he amassed an invaluable skill set allowing him to craft masterful tunes for distinctive floors notably his latest “Whatever U Like” played recently by Maceo Plex. Case in point is “Don’t be shy EP”, Kolombo’s new 12“ on Kompakt holding what can be considered his finest work to date. But for me the best still remains the same : “Sniff”.

Fritz Kalkbrenner - Interview
It’s no secret that Fritz Kalkbrenner is a full-fledged soul boy. But with a voice like his, how could things have turned out any other way? Soul music is the foundation of all his musical endeavours. And like an emotional and aesthetic thread that he weaves through his music, soul, in fact, holds together his diverse musical influences such as hip hop, techno and house. At the beginning of the 1990s his older brother Paul and his best friend Sascha Funke went crazy for techno beats, while hip hop artists such as Eric B. & Rakim, KRS One and Wu-Tang Clan were Fritz’s heroes who could do no wrong.
