Toolroom Knights - Mixed by Umek
2010 was an exceptional year for the Slovenian artist and 1605 record label boss Umek. Widely regarded as one of the most influential players in the global techno scene and a true pioneer of forward thinking electronic music, it was a year that saw him pack out the biggest clubs and land numerous download chart topping releases including “Back in the Race” and “OMGWTF”. We had also the chance to interview Umek a few days ago. Today, Toolroom are delighted to announce Umek as the next DJ to preside over the latest in our Toolroom Knights compilation series.

Dr Kucho - Interview
After nearly two decades in the industry, there can be no denying that Spanish house sensation Daniel Manzano Salazar, or Dr Kucho! as he’s known to the masses, remains one of the most industrious and long-standing producers and DJs on the planet. With over 250 releases to his name since his early entry onto the circuit in 1993, with notably releases like “Belmondo Rulez” and “La luna” I particularly love, The Doctor is as strong as ever as he continues to prescribe his fans - and music lovers the world over - dose after dose of his tried and tested medicine.

Rexperience - Volume 2 (Mixed by Jennifer Cardini)
Opened in 1988, The Rex Club is the French temple for electronic music and remains the club where to play for top DJ’s from all over the world. It is for us the best place for electronic music in Paris. After 22 years dedicated to electronic music, The Rex Club is proud to present the second chapter of his eponymous mixed compilation series « REXPERIENCE », mixed by Jennifer Cardini. The first version has been remixed by D’Julz. We had already the chance to hear it, but it will be only released globally apparently on the 28th of March 2011. And yesterday there was the launch party in the Rex Club, with Jennifer and Ame notably.

Avicii aka Tim Berg - Interview
Tim Berg, known also as Avicii emerged in the music industry in 2008, when he was 18-years-old, compiling a remix of the theme song to the video game Commodore 64, "Lazy Jones". This led to his first release on Strike Recordings, entitled "Lazy Lace". In 2010, Avicii released a collaboration with fellow Swedish DJ John Dahlbäck, titled "Don't Hold Back." He is additionally working on projects with internationally-recognized DJs Tiësto and Sebastian Ingrosso. DJ T feat Nick Maurer - Burning EP
DJ T.’s new album “The pleasure principle” immerses itself, wholly and rapturously, into electronic music’s legacy of authentic soul. It is etched and crate-dug, organic and retro-futuristic, a paean to times past that appeals to modern sensibilities. “Burning” is the album’s debut cut, a brooding, mid tempo 118BPM track where uniquely programmed vocals add broad brushstrokes of colour and texture to T.’s masterful creation. It has been co-produced with Lopazz. Nick Maurer, former front man of Chicago’s iconic Greens Keepers is no stranger to being at the fore of jacking dancefloor fare, and his vocals light up “Burning” accordingly.
