Thanks to the Belgian label Union Match Music, a young label from Brussels, we get an exclusive interview with Olivier Gregoire aka Kolombo. I wanted to begin by thanking the label and Kolombo who answers our questions. First interview of its kind, Actualites Electroniques will continue to make some interviews of producers, DJs and artists from the electronic music scene. They will give us their vision of the electronic music world. Next week, I will share with you a DJ set from Compuphonic, once again thanks to the Belgian recordings. The Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club, consisting of Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird, Sam Halliday, is undoubtedly one of the electro pop revelations from the beginning of 2010. The thing is that I’ve just discovered this group, with the track "What You Know" remixed by Epyk. By digging, I discovered that the group has been signed under the excellent French label Kitsuné. They notably released in March 2010 their first album "Tourist History". Their music combines pop and electro sounds with a ruthless efficiency, as you'll discover later in the article.

One of the most successful producers of the beginning of 2010 is unquestionably Max Vangeli. Maybe you don’t know this nickname, but it is the one of a Dj and producer in vogue in the world of electronic music. Indeed, Max Vangeli released a lot of productions recently and remixes for various artists with the help of the younger brother of Steve Angello, AN21. This promising young DJ was spotted by Pete Tong, who signed in August 2008 his first album "Crazed" on the Chris Lake label Rising Music. Since then, he offers us big house and electro tracks, playlisted by the greatest world DJs.

83 years is the age of the pope or the Baron of the original electronic music. Maybe you will think it is a crazy article! Well, you're not so wrong. Indeed, Pierre Henry who is 83, is considered by many as the father of electronic music and the founder of concrete music. Visiting the Paris area for a few days at the Center Arts of Enghien Les Bains, here's a glimpse of an unknown artist to many.

I was reading a newspaper article when I re-discovered a group that I had already heard. Above all, some titles were in my favorite music playlists. This is an English band formed in 1999 and it is Metronomy. The formation is composed of Joseph Mount (composition, vocals, guitar and keyboards), Oscar Cash (sax, vocals and keyboards), Anna Prior (drums) and Gbenga Adelekan (bass). Recently, the team has been renewed with the last 2 names. They are therefore promoting this new band, notably in France where they played few days ago at La Cigale. The group has been noticed with the title "Heartbreaker" in August 2008, that also has remixed by Kris Menace later on.

French DJ and composer, Popof, whose real name Alexander Paounov, comes straight from the rave scene in Paris. It is indeed within the collective Heretik that he began his career and now continues as an historical membe. He is also the source of Wee-Kids project that he created in 2005. In recent years, Popof turning towards electro and minimal music. Quickly noticed by top names in electronic music scene as Thomas P Heckmann, and more recently Tiga, Popof saw his famous blow since the release of his EP "Alcoolic" in 2007.
