2010 is over - Best of electronic music 2010 (Mixed by Aroy)
After a full year of electronic music, which I think was globally worst in term of quality and commercial tracks, than last year (you just need to listen to the radio), I made my selection of the 20 best tracks of the year 2010, mostly from Germany. As you will see in the playlist, all songs are from 2010, with 2 exceptions: the first track from dOP who has reached the upper class in 2010 and the track of Black Raw that I discovered by chance. The rest is a very good 2010 vintage wine.

Rebolledo - Interview
A few days ago, I was reading an article about Superpitcher, in which he talked about Rebolledo as the man of the moment! So I decided to contact Kompakt Recordings in order to obtain an exclusive interview with the Mexican DJ and producer, part of the Comeme crew. He likes eclectic, so do we. Please welcome the man who has notably released tracks on Kompakt Recordings and Turbo Recordings. This interview follows others like the one Fedde le Grand, M.A.N.D.Y. and Troy Pierce. First of all, I would like to thank Rebolledo who answered our questions and Kompakt Recordings. Muchas gracias para todo Rebolledo. Have a good reading!

More precisely, it will be released on 15th December 2010 as Beatport Exclusive tracks. Richard Vission & Static Revenger (Dennis White) hail from Los Angeles with roots that stretch much further back - Richard being one of the most in demand DJs in North America and Dennis being responsible for the classic “Happy People” and travelling the world playing live for Detroit Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson's Inner City first world tour.

The Japanese Popstars feat Green Velvet - Let Go
I had never heard before of The Japanese Popstars band, until the discovery a few days ago of their video for their electro-rock track "Let Go". The clip that you can watch in the following article features the techno artist Green Velvet on vocals, best known for his techno anthem "La la land". This track has been created over an intensive 20 day period in September 2010 and has been published under Virgin Records. It follows their latest EP "Destroy EP".

Filthy Rich - I Want You EP
Leaders Of The New School Recordings, part of Toolroom Records, continues to bring the most exciting rising talent reaching its 50th release in just 2 years and they don’t come much better than the newly crowned ‘Toolroom Knight’ Filthy Rich. As you would expect, Rich delivers 3 seriously tracks with the ‘I Want You EP’ that will be released on 29th November. The English producer that is certainly one of our most preferred DJ, has released so much fantastic tracks like “Luvstruck” or “Chainsmoking”. He is also part of the Spektre duo. We will notably publish an interview of them really soon…

Black Strobe - Me and Madonna (Remix EP)
Received as a promo, the new EP of Arnaud Rebotini, half of Black Strobe with Ivan Smagghe, is just amazing. Indeed, they are re-releasing Black Strobe's 2002 hit “Me & Madonna”, in December on Kitsuné, with remixes from The Twelves, Grand Crue, Tape 2 Tape and Jolie Cherie. This is the start of a very busy 12 months for Arnaud as he has a new solo album out early next year, a new Black Strobe album and a Black Strobe best of later in the year. Moreover, in a few days we will have the chance to interview Arnaud, so don’t hesitate to share with us some questions that we will ask him.

Chaim - Alive
Received as a promo some days ago the new album “Alive” of the Israeli producer Chaim Avital, known also as Chaim, has literally enlightened my week-end. The man that we discovered in 2007 with a fantastic track “Beaches” produced with superstar Guy Gerber, is back with a first solo album that will be released on February 14th, 2011 under BPitch Control, the Berlin-based label. Globally, the album evolves in some jazzy and funky sounds using classic jacking Chicago jams and hypnotic synth hooks. “Alive” delivers multiples emotions from a seductive house to a more subtle oriental flavor with sentimental melodies.
