Disc Doctor Records, managed by Dr Kucho!, presents The Funky Truckerz “Traffic jam” that we received as a promo and that is the label’s first release of 2011. It will be released on January 18th, 2011. The Funky Truckerz (CJaye & Trixta) take pole position in this release, collaborating with master vocalist-turn-frontman Gathan Cheema to deliver us the original “Traffic Jam” - a monstrous slice of funk-fuelled glam house, full to the brim with soulful bass, retro vocal cuts, and enough disco drive to keep us up ‘til the wee hours. There is also a remix of Dr. Kucho! definitely with an Armand van Helden’s spirit.

Leaders Of The New School smashes into 2011 with a bang! Having reached the 50 milestone last year, Toolroom’s hugely popular sister imprint welcomes the producer 123XYZ (mainly known as Maor Levi) with his “Groove Amigos EP”. After notably the releases “I want your soul” from Filthy Rich and the one of Lauer and Canard and Soneec “Roots EP” that we reviewed some weeks ago, it is now the turn of the Balearic tracks from 123XYZ to be out on the English label. This new EP will be released worldwide on January, 23rd 2010. Nevertheless, it is already available exclusively on Beatport and Toolroom website.

Britpop legend Jarvis Cocker lends his signature vocals to "Synchronize", the kickoff single from Discodeine's first full-length album out February 14th on Dirty / Pschent Recordings. This album, produced but the French duo composed of Pilooski and Pentile will be available in France in March 2011. Concerning the track itself, it has been released since December 6, with remixes on DFA Records some days ago with remixed versions of Jam Factory.

The new EP of Marvin Zeyss "Spellbound EP" is once again an electronic music gem. The artist, that we discovered with his excellent track "Numb" that will appear on our 2010 best of, will release just before the end of the year, December 29th to be exact, "Spellbound EP" under the polish imprint In Deep Records. The EP is composed of two deep house tracks "Hannah" and "Times Goes By". They are happier than the previous tracks of the German producer. Marvin Zeyss is definitely for our ear, the best young newcomer of 2010.
