The new EP of Marvin Zeyss "Spellbound EP" is once again an electronic music gem. The artist, that we discovered with his excellent track "Numb" that will appear on our 2010 best of, will release just before the end of the year, December 29th to be exact, "Spellbound EP" under the polish imprint In Deep Records. The EP is composed of two deep house tracks "Hannah" and "Times Goes By". They are happier than the previous tracks of the German producer. Marvin Zeyss is definitely for our ear, the best young newcomer of 2010. I strongly advise you to go and listen the work he has done for the past six months...

After an exclusive interview with the guy a few weeks ago, we receive today his new EP. Here is the review.

"Hannah" is a funky and calm track, with a clear beat and a few piano notes that make us want to lie in a bed and close our eyes. Small stars begin to twinkle. The music works perfectly and transports you into an alternate reality, where a water stream suddenly appears under your feet. You get up and start dancing lasciviously. Your body naturally makes some moves, your arms stand up. You can hear a flute in the distance that attracts you irreparably to an unknown plain, where charming characters are running barefoot, in the grass. The smell of dew arises. "Hannah" sounds like a charming dream that we would like to extend to the infinity….

"Times goes by" begins with an atmosphere similar to the previous one, calm and sooth. The track begins with a little looped voice that punctuates the musical progression, fitting with the samples in a Balearic atmosphere. Rather simple in its construction, it is a romantic stroll on the sand, beside the sea. You just need to see and feel the sunrise. Simple and effective. Love it.

Not much more to say, except you can’t miss the release of the EP on Dec. 29. Good job Marvin.
