I was watching the news on TV today, when I discovered the suicide of a member of the group Where Où est le Swimming Pool. Author, among others, of the track "Dance the way i feel" released in 2009, the British group, which played this weekend at Pukkelpop festival (Belgium), has been dealing with a tragic event, with the death of Charles Haddon. The group that will normally appear at the festival Rock en Seine in Paris at the end of August should updated its upcoming dates. It is an opportunity for Actualités Electroniques, to come back on their successful track and its remix of Armand Van Helden, as a tribute to the band.

This article was not easy to write because of the recent event. It is a tribute to the very hard work provided by the trio, originally from Camden Town in London. Signed fairly quickly in 2008 on the Global Recordings label, they will release only this year their first album "Christ Died For Our Synths" on October 22.
It offers an atmosphere with pop and electronic samples. The tracks are a compendium of Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys, with particular emphasis on synths and vocals.

The group, which is probably one of “hypest” group of the moment in England, released a few days ago the third single extract from their forthcoming album: "Jackson's Last Stand". They were playing too for the part of the La Roux Tour in May. Thus, a few days after this release, the group is in mourning and would probably soon stop this great adventure. It's a bit what summarizes their last evocative and unfortunately symbolic track: "Next to nothing"...

Regarding the track "Dance the way i feel”, it is a track with English influences, with an effective voice and devastating synths. The chorus is catchy and intelligently filtered. Released late 2009, there was also an excellent remix of Armand Van Helden, on top of his form. The remix available above, is an underground track which give us a flavor of 90’s house music. A must have to keep carefully…

So if it is a tragic event that pushed us to write this article, we still wanted to share with you one of the leading bands of the English current pop stage. Our final words go to the Haddon’s family. R.I.P. Charles...
