You will find in this category each week, a review on an "UFO" track that is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
As you probably know, in a few weeks will be released the highly anticipated movie « Tron », whose soundtrack was performed by Daft Punk. In the recent days, we learn more about this soundtrack. Indeed, it will be available for purchase the 6 of December and preorders have already been launched. This movie will be released in December in the U.S. and then unfortunately it will be on theater in February 2011 for France. To create the buzz around this launch, Walt Disney has released the first music clip from the film. It is "Derezzed", that we can consider as the new clip of Daft Punk!
The film which we reviewed some months ago in the article « Tron Legacy » is the renaissance for a cult movie in the history of cinema: "Tron" in its original version was released in 1982 by Disney. After the launch with a lot of buzz around its release, Daft Punk once again distinguished himself as an innovative duo in the good moves.
Regarding the music, the French duo surrounded himself with a hundred of musicians in London and recorded the tracks in the best English studio: the Lyndhurst studio. This soundtrack which establishes definitively the Daft Punk as genius, is available here http://www.tronsoundtrack.co.uk with a deluxe version composed of a Digipak limited edition with 2 CDs and exclusive posters Daft Punk, that I’ve just bought ! It will be for sure an ideal gift for Christmas!
Moreover, this clip allows us to discover new images from the film, which always seems amazing. Concerning the music itself, the beat is heavy and massive. There is a large presence of synths and claps that rhythm the track. We unfortunately can’t tell you more because of the short length of the extract. It appears, however, that it is an underground and techno track that will devastate movie theaters and nightclubs.
Please note that I saw the video on YouTube at the beginning of the week thanks to the newsletter of Daft Punk and the video had 300 views. I’ve just saw that now the views are around 150 000. The buzz is definitely launched: Daft Punk once again succeeds in promoting their music, well orchestrated too with the help of Disney.
