As surprising as it may seem, this is the first article about Spektre, an well-known DJ and producer from the minimal/techno music world. Some days ago, John Dahlback distributed for free his new production "The Drake" and it is now the turn of the English duo to share with us for free two new productions "Memory effect" and "Black ice". Indeed, the English duo had decided to offer us two tracks for free if his Facebook fan page reached 10,000 members. This was achieved quickly, so the promise was executed through their SoundCloud account. Both tracks are available in the following review.

After contacting the German label Get Physical, one of the best and most productive labels of Berlin, we got an exclusive interview with Thomas Schumacher, who is a DJ for almost twenty years and mainly one of the pillars of the German electronic music scene. Sixth interview of its kind, notably after the one of Rodriguez Jr. and M.A.N.D.Y. recently, Actualités Electroniques will continue to interviews some producers, DJs and artists from the electronic music scene. It is on September 29th that has been released the 22nd EP of the label Mistakes Music, leads by the French producer Sebastien Leger. Indeed, today the new EP of French DJ and producer has been out. It is composed of 3 tracks: "Gone wild", "Mixtape" in its original version and a remix of Umek. Evolving in an atmosphere mixing techno and house, it is an interesting EP that shows us once again, the talent of the artist from Aix en Provence.

Pillar of the German electronic music scene, Marc Romboy has surrounded himself for his new EP "Musik" of a singer with whom he had worked previously: Blake Baxter. The man, who had put his voice especially on "Underground Thang" in 2007, is once again at the origins of an underground production with a dark voice, still effective. The EP consists of two tracks. There are the original version and the remix of Kink, a Bulgarian producer at the top of his art and who made recently an excellent remix of "Muchness" composed by Pete Tong and Mark Knight that we reviewed.

Format B "Dog Tag" and its remix by Sebastien Leger were highly anticipated by the electronic music community. Now the track is available in its original version and its remixed one. Indeed, both productions have been signed under the label Formatik Germany, at the beginning of this week. The remix comes back to the musical sources of Sebastien Leger, with a completely techno and underground atmosphere quiet similar to his old release “Bad clock”. What a pleasure to hear these sounds and samples once again. Indeed, Sebastien offered us these last months more progressive tracks on his own label Mistakes Music.

Jon Hopkins will release in early August an EP, with 2 of his own productions, remixed by Four Tet and Nathan Fake, under Double Six / Domino Records. This outstanding composer, is still relatively unknown outside his native territory, England, but has a past that leaves nothing to be desired... In fact, after having released three albums: "Opalescent" in 2001, then "Contact Note" in 2004, and "Insides" in 2009, Jon Hopkins influenced some tracks of the latest Coldplay’s album "Viva la Vida", especially the song "Light the Trough Veins". Thus, he was invited to the opening shows of Coldplay, on the world tour.

Sometimes it is great to discover new music, but sometimes too it is even more exciting to rediscover some old ones... Pezzner, an American artist, is the new flagship of the London Freerange Records. This man has already proven him since 2008 on this label including his first EP "Other Lover", and just after that in October 2008 there was the famous "Almost Here" that we will review in the following article. Later, Pezzner produced other goods tracks signed on this label, but also on the Roger Sanchez’s label Strictly Rhythm's and also OM Records...
