As surprising as it may seem, this is the first article about Spektre, an well-known DJ and producer from the minimal/techno music world. Some days ago, John Dahlback distributed for free his new production "The Drake" and it is now the turn of the English duo to share with us for free two new productions "Memory effect" and "Black ice". Indeed, the English duo had decided to offer us two tracks for free if his Facebook fan page reached 10,000 members. This was achieved quickly, so the promise was executed through their SoundCloud account.
Hailed by many DJs and producers such as James Zabiela, Umek, and Laurent Garnier, the English duo brings together two explosive tracks that should delight many clubbers.
"Memory effect" is a track that gradually rises in intensity with alternating rhythms fairly well-thought. This progression makes me think to the one of a certain track produced by Nathan Fake "The Sky Was Pink"! One word sums up this production: massive!
"Black ice" is evolving into a darker and more underground atmosphere. This techno track is not made for everyone! Very well composed, we feel the rave influences of the English duo that emerge from this production.
At the end, we have a strong preference for "Memory effect", a techno track with a funky touch, less linear than "Black ice". Listen and judge by yourself…
