I must admit that the French award of the Victoires de la Musique 2010, which took place last week, gave us a nice surprise with the presence of the french band Pony Pony Run Run. Plus their presence, they have been awarded with the prize of the Group's public revelation of 2010, notably because of their first album "You need Pony Pony Run Run" released in June 2009. Replaying their album I re-discovered the excellent track "Out of Control" which cleverly blends pop, new wave and electro music.

Thanks to a friend, I discovered Turboweekend, a Danish group, which has released in March 2009 his second album "Ghost of a Chance". It consists of 11 tracks, including the discovery of the moment "Something or Nothing", a sublime track we will review in the following article. The Danish trio offers an album that mixes subtly electronic music and rock. Its particularity: a rock band without guitars! It has been nominated for the Best Newcomer of the Year 2009 at two of the biggest Danish award shows, P3 Gold and Zulu Awards.

The English duo Groove Armada has just released its newest production "I will not kneel". This psychedelic pop title announces the release in February from their new album "Blacklight". The production broadcasted a few days ago has been accompanied with a video clip, that you can watch in the following article. It portrays an environment with dark lights and paranoid lamps ! This is the first single, which lays the groundwork for a future album certainly influenced by the 80s.

Roisin Murphy is best known for being the voice of Moloko. A few days ago the Irish-born artist shared freely on the website of the Guardian her new production "Orally fixated", available since November 17th on Itunes. This title announces her upcoming album that will be released at the beginning of 2010. After a pause of about 2 years and her album "Overpowered" in October 2007, Roisin returned to form with this 3rd opus and more specifically with this track. The artist has even announced that new tracks should come out in early 2010 to create the buzz...And it works !

There are discoveries which are totally unpredictables, and the one I will talk today is one. Reading an article on The Guardian website, I’ve read that the American producer Penguin Prison, was currently under the spotlight in the electronic music world. Looking for his previous productions and remixes I found the one of Marina and The Diamonds « I Am Not A Robot » which mixed perfectly pop and electro music, with a deep and sexy voice of a welsh girl…

In a few weeks, the new album of the Australian electro pop band, Miami Horror, will be released. To promote its launch, the video clip of “Sometimes”, the first extract of this new album, has been broadcasted. This album will be available at the beginning of 2010. It is the fourth album of the group entitled “Illumination”. The video clip that you can watch in the following article has been shot by Rhett Wade-Ferrell for Moop Jaw. Another video clip can be watched on the Miami Horror website. It follows “Sometimes” and then creates a little movie.

Fortune has just broadcast the video for his new track "Highway" remixed by Eli Escobar. This clip is simple with an extraordinary purity and rare fluidity. In the meanwhile, it uses electro pop music, which differs from their latest works released in April: "Bully". It mainly sticks perfectly to this video clip. Fully realized in 3D, it takes us into a dreamlike world with a soothing music.
