You will find in this category each week, a review on an "UFO" track that is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
In a few weeks, the new album of the Australian electro pop band, Miami Horror, will be released. To promote its launch, the video clip of “Sometimes”, the first extract of this new album, has been broadcasted. This album will be available at the beginning of 2010. It is the fourth album of the group entitled “Illumination”. The video clip that you can watch in the following article has been shot by Rhett Wade-Ferrell for Moop Jaw. Another video clip can be watched on the Miami Horror website. It follows “Sometimes” and then creates a little movie.
The track delivers a charming music, which starts after about thirty seconds. It’s kind of Sebastien Tellier style, very melodic and sensual with rising progressive sounds. The video clip brings beautiful images a little too girly to our taste, but consistent with the music. Near also a Midnight Juggernauts vibe, there is a strong influence of disco music in this composition. It is structured around a male vocal with a good beat. The voice punctuated the melody and then gives birth to a full electro pop track along the lines of their previous productions. Nothing too revolutionary therefore!
We will wait for their next album to see exactly how it is. The first single offers us some good things, but is quiet simple. But ultimately, is the simplest music is not the most effective?
