I discover today a musical UFO that will buzz for sure in the upcoming hours. You’d probably know the U.S. series Dexter. This successful show is about a serial killer who works for the Criminal Division in Miami. The channel that broadcasts the show: Showtime, unveiled on Youtube one day ago, a track called "Does Dexter" directed by Pogo, an Australian artist that uses chords, sound effects and vocal samples from the first four seasons of Dexter… The result is a stunning musical experience as you will hear in the following article.
The artist, who seemed at first unknown is ultimately quiet famous on the web! Indeed, the Australian’s producer has made a reputation by offering for free on Youtube his remixes of films by giving them a personal touch. The principle is simple: he composed a tune on which he lays the voice of a movie and then he samples it.
His main success was his great remix of the film "Alice in Wonderland" in 2007, which now peaks at over 4 million views on Youtube. As you can see for yourself the remix is really good. More recently, he created remixes of the movie "Up" and "Toys Story". Indeed the man signed a 1 year contract with the production house Walt Disney, in order to produce these remixes officially.
This talented producer now teams up with the American channel which is currently airing the Season 5 of Dexter. If some of his tracks aren’t really good, the one of "Dexter" evolves in much higher level of achievement. This is an excellent musical work.
"Does Dexter" is a blend of vocal samples and sound-effects which is a very successful wedding! It is a musical UFO that we could not ignore. Finally, for those who are interested, the artist distributes all of his tracks for free. Go to his Last.fm account to explore his work, more deeply.
