You will find in this category each week, a review on an "UFO" track that is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
A few days ago Chromeo, the Canadian duo, formed of Pee Thugg (Patrick Gemayel) and Dave 1 broadcast for the first time the video clip of his latest single "Night By Night". The title was released on the label Green Label Sound. It was available to users for free in September 2009. Now, the title will be accompanied by a video clip produced by El Nino and directed by Surface To Air, which features both Canadian.
The clip is like the music: fresh and funky. It looks like as the beginning of the old series "Fame", that you maybe remember. It includes Dave 1, in a role that he dresses beautifully, a dancer. Rather good in this dress, it is reasonable to wonder if some scenes were not lined by a professional? Indeed, some wide shots of the dancer are seen in some shadows and it's hard to really distinguish the dancer.
For all those who have noticed, the instrument used to convert the voice in the video is a talk box, sort of a piano connected to a tube that is placed in a mouth. According to the notes played, the sound of the voice is changed. This particular instrument is one of the trademarks of Daft Punk. Unfortunately, it is increasingly used, as it is the case here with Chromeo. We had already talked about it, the article that speaks about 10 stories of Daft Punk.
Once again this title and this video are harbingers of an album planned for early 2010.
