As we’ve said a few days ago, featurings with hip hop artists are becoming increasingly popular. It starts a bit too much to become a recurring trend... Basement Jaxx is no exception to this rule with a new production using the voice of Kelis. Our list is growing so long after the one of David Guetta, Justice, Martin Solveig, or Calvin Harris! The title "Scars" is taken from the new album from the English duo.

 Basement Jaxx feat Kelis - Scars

The British duo composed of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, presents its fifth album "Scars". The album was released last week, September 21. There are 14 guests featuring with the British group. The feat becomes really too fashionable lately. As for example there is the presence of Yoko Ono on "Day of the Sunflowers" or Yo! Majesty on "Twerk". Despite this diversity, the album is fairly consistent.

The track with Kelis, “Scars” also uses the voice of Chipmunk and Meleka. Obviously it is also the name of the album!  There is kind of a gothic voice very handsome with a dynamic hip hop beat. Kelis's voice arises quite well on the track, even if it is not very dancefloor, we must admit. Please note that we do not recognize well the voice of Kelis. The kick rhythm dominates the whole track.
Finally, there is too a strange clip that goes with the track. It was directed by Jan van Nuenen and shows a universe quite psychedelic, with the growth of a pungent plant in 3D!
