Received as a promo some days ago the new album “Alive” of the Israeli producer Chaim Avital, known also as Chaim, has literally enlightened my week-end. The man that we discovered in 2007 with a fantastic track “Beaches” produced with superstar Guy Gerber, is back with a first solo album that will be released on February 14th, 2011 under BPitch Control, the Berlin-based label. Globally, the album evolves in some jazzy and funky sounds using classic jacking Chicago jams and hypnotic synth hooks. “Alive” delivers multiples emotions from a seductive house to a more subtle oriental flavor with sentimental melodies.

Martin Eyerer is not just a musician, he is a real artist.  Ambition, creativity and perfectionism are his chief characteristics.  More than 20 years of experience and well over a hundred releases or remixes, as well as DJ gigs on every continent on earth – this a track record that speaks for itself. By any measure, this Stuttgart-born artist values his personal taste more than anything else, and very rarely has this taste deceived him: you may trust him on it! After a first acclaimed album in 2008 “Word Of Mouth“,  he released in October his second opus “Tiny Little Widgets” in a techno atmosphere sometimes mixed with birds tweets !

«Open your eyes», not ears to hear what there is to see - just one of the many paradoxes Mainz-based Butch manages to merge with verve. Indeed, the German producer Butch will release on November 17th his new album «Open Your Eyes». Received as a promo, this album captures the duality of his sounds that oscillate between under and over, techno and house, spirituality and marketability, club and home stereo, to celebrate the everyday high and question it at the same time. The man we discovered with his first track «On the line» in 2007, has not finished to surprise us.

Akin to the concept of the 8th anniversary compilation, one of the best labels from Germany, Get Physical, is proud to present the DJ T’s Best of Selection Part 1, a retrospective of some of the musical gems Dj T. has brought to the masses over the past 8 years of Get Physical Music. Indeed, the label from Berlin sends us as a promo this new compilation so that’s why we review it here. It is currently available on Beatport, will be released on other digital platforms around mid-November and mixes the best tracks produced by DJ T.. Some days ago, I received as a promo the new compilation “Different” of the German label Boxer Recordings, a fantastic musical snap. Usually, a label compilation provides a comprehensive snapshot of the label’s current artists and sounds. Some call it showcase, other simply call it spring-cleaning. The “Different” compilation that will be released on the 8th of November 2010, is the result of the meticulous and thorough selection of the Boxer crew. It offers us a pure moment of enjoyment with relaxing tracks coming from the best artists of the minimal and techno world, like Extrawelt, Gui Boratto or Paul Nazca. What a fantastic selection….

Two days ago, Armin Van Buuren has released his new album "Mirage". After unveiling the playlist of his fourth album "Mirage" and posted on Youtube the clip of his track "Not giving up on love", featuring Sophie Ellis Bextor, Armin van Buuren surprised a lot of his trancy fellows. This expected album shows, once again, that the man was able to renew his favorite genre. In addition to this success story, Armin should keep for the third consecutive year, his place of No. 1 of the Top 100 DJ by DJ Mag.
