Passionate advocates of vinyl, Apollonia, founded by Dan Ghenacia and Shonky, re-press Point G’s rare classic “Underwater”, the first in a number of their personal out-of-stock favourites. It will be out on the 15th January 2013. The archetypal track of the Paris afterhours that encapsulates the sound of the Batofar Kwality parties, a memory which is at the very core and stimulus of Apollonia... “Underwater” was a favourite of the trio back in 98 and continues to be a record bag must-have in 2012. Moody, bassy, a freaky lose-yourself-moment in the spaced-out melody, this deep house classic is being re-pressed for the first time exclusively on Apollonia.

Berlin based Light My Fire drops its second release this December entitled «Childhood Basslines» by label-head and Stil vor Talent founder Oliver Koletzki, backed with a remix from Telonius. Light My Fire’s inaugural release «Bealive» dropped in November and came courtesy of Kazakhstani duo Alexander Kovalenko and Stepan Knyazev aka Fapples, delivering contemporary deep house, with touches of disco, old school, italo and the odd vocal sample. Testament to LMF001’s quality, the EP’s title track quickly climbed into the Indie Dance/ Nu Disco top 20 on Beatport - a rolling start for the label.

Sometimes things unfold fast, very fast. In autumn 2011 Jacob Dilßner aka Wankelmut was a young 24-year old student and part-time dj who had just relocated to his hometown Berlin to study philosophy and political science. Then one night he started playing around with one of his favourite songs in Ableton Live, cutting, filtering and adding a simple 4/4 groove until Asaf Avidan & The Mojos’ bitter-sweet folk song „One Day/Reckoning Song“ turned into what has now become one of house music’s biggest anthems of 2012. But back then, Jacob was totally unaware of the impact his groundbreaking remix would have. Today we have the chance to interview the hottest producer of the moment in Europe.

Hot Since 82 makes his debut on Get Physical Music with a 2 track EP, “Forty Shorty EP”. The UK based DJ and producer has already had a strong of releases on many of the scenes prominent labels notably “Houze this” released on Noir Music, that I played a lot, so I was curious as to what he might have for us! More precisely, Hot Since 82 is a Leeds based DJ & producer making some of the finest house music in the UK. He first came on to the scene in early 2011 with underground hit "Let It Ride" on Noir Music. It became an Ibiza anthem picking up support left, right and centre.

We are on Route 66, in an old black Cadillac, a raw landscape of red earth, mixed with a blue sky and bright green cactus while we are marching at full speed. The air is hot, our hairs are blowing in the wind! First, short stop at Texaco. As soundtrack: the new Cherokee EP entitled "American spirit", consisting of 4 tracks released on Zimbalam at the end of October.

John Dahlbäck is further testament to the theory that when it comes to overly talented musical homelands, there could indeed be something in Sweden’s water. Born in 1985, in a small village near Stockholm, he landed his first record deal aged just 15 while most of his peers were just discovering clubs. A few years later he was already the proud owner of a worldwide respected label, had a string of well-known productions to his name like “Blink” and a reputation for quietly turning out some of the best house melodies you could hope to hear! Today we have a huge chance to interview one of the finest Swedish producers.

Climbers are Jay Blakk and Kiko Deal, and these guys know exactly what they are doing. This EP, “Equal Responsibility” proves that. The EP that includes three tracks is for sure of one the best I heard so far in 2012. This new release of Get Physical evolves in a deep atmosphere that will make you dance until the sun rise. Perfect to be listened to in an after party, it was for me a good surprise that I literally fell in love with.
