Berlin based Light My Fire drops its second release this December entitled «Childhood Basslines» by label-head and Stil vor Talent founder Oliver Koletzki, backed with a remix from Telonius. Light My Fire’s inaugural release «Bealive» dropped in November and came courtesy of Kazakhstani duo Alexander Kovalenko and Stepan Knyazev aka Fapples, delivering contemporary deep house, with touches of disco, old school, italo and the odd vocal sample. Testament to LMF001’s quality, the EP’s title track quickly climbed into the Indie Dance/ Nu Disco top 20 on Beatport - a rolling start for the label.

Here Oliver Koletzki steps up himself to deliver LMF002 «Childhood Basslines», a release that marks his first club-oriented EP in almost a year and is set to cement the young label’s reputation for high-calibre house music without a doubt.
While the past few years saw Oliver Koletzki increasingly focus on the album format, «Childhood Basslines», the second release on Light my Fire, marks a longed-for return to the dance-floor, presented in the form of three infectious original productions and a subtle remix from Gomma co-founder Telonius.
The mellow guitar loops of «Bring Me Home» kick-start the release in ample style. Helped along by a swaying groove, melancholic pads and soft piano keys, this is an ode to summer and all its tender promises.
Oliver then propels you straight into a sweaty 80’s club with «Childhood Bassline», built upon rolling percussion, shuffling claps, retro style synths and an elastic bass-line.
Next up is «Neon Guitars» combining elements of the two previous tracks the cut is earthshakingly full-bodied, heartwarmingly musical and undeniably satisfying – a true Oliver Koletzki track. Telonius closes the release putting a dubbed out feel on things with his excellent conga-centric remix, making LMF002 an instant classic.
The EP has been released some days ago on Beatport and will be available on all platforms on the 4th of January 2013.
