Spirit Catcher "EP Sedona" is the last release of the German label Systematic. The last production of the German duo had been also released also on the famous compilation celebrating the 5 years of the label, called "5 Years of Systematic. It was a production with Compuphonic called "Other side of the game". Jean Vanesse and Tom Sohet are now part of the Systematic family. The 3 tracks available on this EP are quite dynamic and dancing. They operate in a tech house atmosphere.
Accustomed for some time to publish their tracks in the label directed by Marc Romboy, Spirit Catcher makes some infidelities to 20:20 Vision, NRK, Rebirth, Moodmusic and many others Recordings on which they were accustomed to release before! This duo that runs for over 7 years over the electronic music world, offers us an EP of certain quality, including "Sedona" as a figurehead.
"Sedona" is a track that blends with ease minimal tech house while keeping a dynamic rhythmic as Pig and Dan. There are driving house beats with a dark organ melody. Listening to him we had the urge to get up, so the rhythm is catchy and delivers a good groove.
“Future fools" have a stronger kick that give it a mystic mood. Gradually we feel penetrate by the melody very well organized. Then, the track goes into something more dancefloor house that symbolizes serious late night ambience. There is also a touch of funk like Theo Parrish did in his previous releases.
"Forever and a day" is a little bit funkier than the previous track. It is a full deep-house track using a few jazzy chords, very Detroit style. It will be perfect for a warm up.
Despite the limited visibility that they have, our two Belgian demonstrate a great talent and we look forward for their next releases that will probably appear on Systematic Recordings. At the end, it is a good EP that will be perfect for the long nights and cold temperatures of these days.
