Few labels enjoyed such a stellar time of it in 2012 as Andre Crom's increasingly influential OFF Recordings imprint. And with Swiss production duo Round Table Knights really coming to prominence of late, it's perhaps unsurprising that artist and imprint have now got together. Here is a short review of the new EP Round Table Knights “So Good EP” that has been released as a vinyl version on the first of February and on the 23rd of January as digital.
The release in question is a groove-soaked offering that's indicative of the quality and ass-shaking capabilities of both parties. The bongo-heavy title track is an early highlight, strutting in the sort of manner that'd make Disco Stu proud.
"Graciela" makes shrewd use of horns and a delicious underbelly of swelling synths with an excellent aspiring and floating summer groove, before a producer you're sure to hear much more from, Mainz's Teenage Mutants, closes the canny triumvirate with an even more party-starting interpretation of the original!
With no doubt “Graciala” is the best track of the EP.
