"Viro" is the new EP released in late April by Pryda on Beatport.com. Announced by himself aka Eric Prydz recently on his Twitter profile, the man removed from the Swedish House Mafia due to his move to London, returns with an EP and two progressives and magical tracks "Viro" and "Emos". The tracks have been played on the radio for the first time in a radio show that you know well: the "Essential Mix” by Pete Tong on Radio One.
Abandoned by his Swedish fellows, Eric Prydz returns even stronger with this 17th release on his own recording "Pryda", in line with his previous work. Two tracks are presented on this LP. They both have weird names, "Viro" and "Emos."
"Viro" begins with simplistic and joyful notes, spellbinding at the beginning. There is a kick and piano that accompanies this track, certainly effective in clubs. In a spirit always funnier your arms will raise in the air on the dancefloor. Please note that after the musical break there is a sample close to a sample used in the track "Teasing Mister Charlie” of the Swedish producer Steve Angello.
Concerning "Emos", it begins with a dark atmosphere and a sample that resembles the sound of wind. The track that lasts about 10 minutes up gradually in pace with the arrival of a good beat to 1.30. The track, pretty hovering, back to roots of Pryda with samples that allow us to recognize his particular style.
The EP is not revolutionary but it has the merit of being well produced, with good musical ideas. The air of London has given a little help to our Swedish friend, for the better.
