Pier Bucci and Jacek Sienkiewicz have teamed up to offer us their latest LP "Eastern Promises Part 2", released on Maruca. There are two tracks on it: "Droga mila" and "Luna". Pier Bucci is a Chilean producer recognized particularly for his hit "My consuelo" notably remixed by Samin. He asked the Polish guy Jacek Sienkiewicz to join him for this second component, which is a mixture of cultures rather unlikely. Both tracks proposed a warm tech house, more or less dynamic according to the sides.
In 2009, Jacek Sienkiewicz produced an excellent album "Modern dance" released on Cocoon Recordings, while Pier Bucci released late December, a remix of the track "Blue" by Ben Rourke. As the name of the LP suggests, these two individuals had worked together on Part 1 of "Eastern Promises" pressed under Recognition Recording with two tracks last year: "Eastern Promises" and "Skazka”. Today, we review the second part, a bit elegant and old fashion!
"Droga mila" is the most dynamic track of this opus. It shows all the maturity of our producers with opposing cultures. Although dancing, this sound is not very aggressive. It is built around drums and a very fine arpegiator synths line, which gives a sort of melancholy tone to the musical production. With this track you will have your daily dose of minimal and techno music, during 9 minutes.
Equally melancholic, "Luna" is a musical journey of ten minutes with a female vocal that is barely discernible, saying words in Spanish. Imagine that you are walking at night along the water, the moon illuminating the liquid around you. You can discern a haze in the distance. Here and there small noises can be heard. This track is like a story, with its ups and downs, keeping a rather dark side…
Finally, we can say that Eastern Europe and South America have never been so closer. At first sight this LP wasn’t so festive, but gradually it becomes warmer and warmer, and captivating.
