Side 2:
Released for just one week, I discovered the new EP by Marco Carola thanks a friend (Amaury, if you read these lines ...). You're dealing with 5 tracks of a great quality. Each title offers a different atmosphere and this is the strength of this EP.
"Walking Dog" is pretty quiet, but it is also a very clean music. This is the music side that has charmed us. Then, "Turn around" is a little more funky and dynamic. We recognize indeed the Italian influence, from where Marco Carola is coming from.
Then, there is the very good "Party People", which is undoubtedly the most successful track of this musical quintet. There is a small vocal and killer dancefloor bass dancefloor. The track would pass very well in warm up, but still deserves a bit of a positive pitch to really ignited dance floors.
Finally, the EP concluded with "You and Me" and "The move", two very similar products, which join the spirit of "Turn around." They are still a little dark and definitely anchor the end of this release in minimal techno universe.
The EP therefore delights enthusiasts of all kinds. It is a hard vinyl to “understand” but will certainly delight some listeners, particularly those accustomed to German minimalistic sounds. Our heart goes instinctively to "Party People".
