As always Fred Falke rewarded us with a pure house track 90s called « Chicago ». This EP contains two songs which have been released mid September on the French label Work It Baby. Mostly underground, this release is based on a techno atmosphere coming from Chicago with a vocal funk sauce.
The title "Chicago" is slow, but offers a good overview of the talent of Fred Falke. A simple melody with a repetitive vocal is enough. The title pays tribute to the emblematic Roy Ayer and his track “'Chicago” made in the early '80s, which is quiet similar. It shows a warm acid mixed with funk! What a mix ! Regarding the voice, we looked for info on Teff Balmert. Apparently not much, so this is probably his first featuring. We will try to keep you informed if we get more information.
We strongly prefer the B side with a superb intro totally Fred Falke. Clear and well worked, with melodic synths, the intro gives birth to a vocal loop of beauty. This filter voice gives a rate of hell to track. It seems we go back 10 years ago. This title is the one that really stands out for us on this EP.
The title is playlisted mainly by man like Laurent Garnier, Axwell, Joey Negro and Moonbootica in particular.
