Paul Ritch - Live at Green and Blue
The name Paul Ritch echoes around the world. His productions and live sets, charged with pure adrenaline and characterized by his powerful, harmonic, and deep techno, have made him the holder of a unique mark of sounds in which his passion and power transmit numerous memorable music moments. This review is about his dark but lovely live set on the Green Floor of Cocoon Recordings's Green & Blue Open Air – one of the most prestigious electronic dance music open air events in Germany. It has been recorded and released on a single CD mid October, in contrast to the previous Green & Blue CDs, which were double CDs with DJ mixes.

Chelonis R Jones - The prison buffet
Chelonis R. Jones is a lo-fi legend, a straight-talking raconteur with his eye on the underbelly of society. Some days ago he released “The Prison Buffet”, an album that stitches together a torrent of emotions using an undeniable lyrical and vocal talent for thread. The Prison Buffet is Jones’ fourth full-length album and his second release on Systematic Recordings. The buffet metaphor is perfect, with each track bringing a different style to the party. For example, accessible, laid-back tune “The Incredible Sulk” is pensive and smooth with its tongue-in-cheek lyrics and title.

Body Language 11 - Mixed by Noze
Between live performances and albums rich in musical influences, we have almost forgotten that Nôze (Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezéchiel Pailhès) was also known for their fever mixes. So excellent idea of M.A.N.D.Y., Get Physical boss and chief investigator of the compilations "Body Language", to ask Nicolas, the DJ of the duo, to look at the eleventh installment of this cult series that has already seen amazing hosts. This album was released on May 23rd on the labels Get Physical / La Baleine.

Amirali - In time
After a superb 2011 year for Crosstown Rebels, they are now proud to present Amirali “In Time”. Tipped as a one to watch for 2012 (Mixmag), Iranian/Canadian producer Amirali’s debut album is truly exceptional, a subtle combination of house, techno, funk, electronica and downbeat with indie sensibilities. The album, that will be released mid May, is reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Underworld and Art Department all through a modern electronic paradigm. Amirali features on vocals on the album and is already being widely, regarded as one of the most accomplished debut albums of recent years.

Oliver Schories - Herzensangelegenheit
Oliver Schories – Germany’s prolific young producer of heartfelt techno has garnered quite an army of devotees over the last two years, fueled by a charismatic synergy with fans and a string of successful EPs for underground dance labels like Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Ostwind Recordings and Parquet Recordings. The year 2011 was a particularly busy one for Oliver, who produced and released over thirty original tracks, plus remixes for AKA AKA and Gui Boratto, and brought his melancholic, uplifting, and energetic DJ sets in front of a spellbound international audience for the first time.

Les Limaces - Smoked Beat
On March 9 will be released "Smoked Beat", the second album of the Montreal electro duo Les Limaces (The Slugs), under the independent imprint Tasty Bytes Records. Received as a promo, it was clear from the first notes that it will be an incongruous musical discovery! It will also be officially launched at the Full Circle, an event to be held on March 10 at the Espace Réunion, in Montreal. During it, the Limaces will perform live, with a range of artists including the Portuguese Dj Pena, the Montrealers Omni, Mono-poly and Digital Committee. This album that sounds like an electronic slap makes us slaver. So it was impossible for me not to review it!
