Dusty Kid - Beyond that hill
Paolo Alberto aka Dusty Kid loves travelling, as he told us in the interview we had some days ago (read the interview with Dusty Kid), no matter whether it is a trip through his own sensuous spheres of experience (like in his solo debut album “A Raver’s Diary” in 2009), or a real road movie… At the beginning of November, he will release his new solo album under Boxer Recordings, “Beyond That Hill“ that takes the straight bass drum out of the club and plants it on the roadside. Beats are rushing past like power poles, a fresh breeze is blowing in your face, both literally and figuratively.

Bittersweet times at Mobilee! Rodriguez Jr. “Bittersweet” album will hit the stores on Sept 26th! Indeed, at the end of this month, Rodriguez Jr.'s debut album will finally arrive in the stores, featuring 11 tracks of original productions by Mobilee's French musical maestro, a man that we interviewed last year (Rodriguez Jr.'s interview). Now it's time for him to take his new live show on the road and after the success of the opening date of the “Bittersweet” album tour at Berlin's world renowned Panorama Bar the standards have been set high. Gui Boratto - III
Gui Boratto is truly that success story that aspiring dance producers dream of. From his Brazilian home of São Paolo as a student of architecture and design, he quickly found himself in the position as one of the countries primary pop/rock producers (including work for Steel Pulse). It was with his 2005 debut Kompakt release on the K2 sub-label “Arquipélago” that shot him into prominence and paved a strong path of singles that led to the now classic full length “Chromophobia”. As noted in the interview we had with Gui Boratto, he released his new solo album “III” under Kompakt Records, a few days ago.

The Field - Looping state of mind
It’s with the arrival of Looping State Of Mind on October 24th (via Kompakt) that you finally realize that, for The Field’s ambient techno explorer Axel Willner, the loop never stops. While fans and critics alike point to 2007’s phenomenal debut From Here We Go Sublime – included in Pitchfork’s Top 100 albums of the 2000s – and 2009’s equally stirring follow up Yesterday & Today as standalone points of the Swede’s music; it becomes clear that they appear as mere snapshots of what, for the producer, is a continual cycle of revolutions.

Kompakt Compilation - Total 12
Long time fans of Kompakt should be pleased to see a mainstay of our long term family members primarily present on Total 12. Twelve... the omnipresent mystique number. There are 12 stars on Europe's banner, 12 apostles, 12 titans, 12 knights of the Round Table, Schoenberg's twelve-tone music and yes, our beloved compilation series is entering its twelfth round! After a jolly and colourful first semester of 2011, filled with albums by heavyweight acts like Rainbow Arabia, Whomadewho, GusGus and John Tejada, Kompakt has decided to focus mainly on the core members of the family.
