After a superb 2011 year for Crosstown Rebels, they are now proud to present Amirali “In Time”. Tipped as a one to watch for 2012 (Mixmag), Iranian/Canadian producer Amirali’s debut album is truly exceptional, a subtle combination of house, techno, funk, electronica and downbeat with indie sensibilities. The album, that will be released mid May, is reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Underworld and Art Department all through a modern electronic paradigm. Amirali features on vocals on the album and is already being widely, regarded as one of the most accomplished debut albums of recent years.
His recent single “Beautiful World” has met with rapturous appeal gaining an ever-increasing legion of fans. “In Time” is a fantastic body of work, from the hit singles “My Way”, “Beautiful World” and “Just An Illusion” to the down tempo “Painting On A Canvas” and “Last Words”, the album is full of beautiful sonic vignettes. Other highlights include the broken beat “Whisper”, the infectious “Hear Me” and the mammoth “Sounds Of My Life”. Amirali has succeeding in producing a mesmeric and consummate body of work.
Amirali will also be touring to support the album, on the Rebel Rave tour featuring Art Department, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, and Damian Lazarus for an extensive worldwide tour during the next 6 months in support of the album.
