Opened in 1988, The Rex Club is the French temple for electronic music and remains the club where to play for top DJ’s from all over the world. It is for us the best place for electronic music in Paris. After 22 years dedicated to electronic music, The Rex Club is proud to present the second chapter of his eponymous mixed compilation series « REXPERIENCE », mixed by Jennifer Cardini. The first version has been remixed by D’Julz. We had already the chance to hear it, but it will be only released globally apparently on the 28th of March 2011. And yesterday there was the launch party in the Rex Club, with Jennifer and Ame notably.

“Rexperience” is back for the second volume of the Rex Club’s mixed compilations. After the acclaimed first mix by D’julz that was released last year, the Rex Club is proud to entrust its new mix to Jennifer Cardini.
Following “Electroniculture Vol.2”, “Flash”, and “Lust”, Jennifer released in 2008 her fourth compilation, “Feeling Strange”, on Cologne based Kompakt, making her the first French and female artist to sign with the label. Resident at Rex Club, firstly with the crazy Automatik parties, and now with Correspondant, she quickly became one of the main French artists on the underground electronic music scene like Chloe and Miss Kittin. She plans to take her “Correspondant” parties internationally, and recently launched her own label which has the same name than her party.
On this compilation, she navigates between styles with ease and delicacy, like her pulsating deejay sets at Rex Club. For instance you can find very well known artists like the German Superpitcher or Matthew Dear. There is even the track of the Mexican guys Rebolledo that we interviewed some weeks ago, such as his friend Matias Aguayo, who lived near Paris.
It is an emotional and sensitive journey, a fantastic palette of her talents, quiet pop sometimes, where Jennifer comes to light with this intimate, original selection. Contrary to the first selection of D’Julz that could easily work in a club, this one will be more effective for your subwoofers at home… As she said herself it is music for warm-ups that follows the artistic direction of her Correspondant parties.
