Dennis Ferrer and Andre Hommen - No difference
The musical integrity of Dennis Ferrer is unquestionable. With a career that spans over a decade and an immaculate discography that strikes fear in the hearts of his contemporaries, his modus operandi is quality over quantity, motivated by the desire to evolve with each new piece of music he creates. And so we welcome with open arms his long-awaited follow-up to last year’s The Red Room.  The track, titled “No Difference”, sees Ferrer collaborate with André Hommen, an integral part of the Objektivity label and a long time touring companion and has been released last week.

Phil Weeks - Interview
The French DJ and producer, Phil Weeks, is a house music purist in its noblest sense. His unique style is evolving in an old-school ambiance coming from Chicago, with a touch of nu-school French flair that goes from the deepest house to the techiest... His productions always sound as if they were produced in the early 90’s, thanks to the instruments he uses: 808, 909 and 606. Phil Weeks is a house music purist, dedicated to delivering his best, even in a world where the house unfortunately is dominated by electro, while leading with an iron hand his own imprint Robsoul Recordings.

Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had (Moguai Remix)
There can be no ignoring Moguai’s phenomenal success within the cutthroat world of pop music. Having already had hit flings with the ‘who’s who’ of A-list pop starlets – Britney Spears check, Robyn check, Girls Aloud check – the German titan, that we interviewed some days ago, now works his way to the very top of the pile and takes it upon himself to remix the biggest pop star in the world right now, Miss Beyoncé Knowles!

Long time fans of Kompakt should be pleased to see a mainstay of our long term family members primarily present on Total 12. Twelve... the omnipresent mystique number. Cobblestone Jazz - Memories EP
Cobblestone Jazz is back with their new EP "Memories (From Where We Are)" out August 8th 2011; which celebrates the first of a series of 12” releases that will come out on the imprint Wagon Repair over the course of 2011/12. The outcome of a Berlin jam session last fall, the band incorporated a Fender Rhodes, vocoder, and SH-101 to make up the core voicing of the tracks while a CS-20 provides the drive at the end of both. In typical Cobblestone Jazz fashion, the track was mixed live with no prior sequencing arrangement. The session was then cut by The Mole into two sublime edits - the results could be their strongest release since “Dump Truck”.
