The Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club, consisting of Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird, Sam Halliday, is undoubtedly one of the electro pop revelations from the beginning of 2010. The thing is that I’ve just discovered this group, with the track "What You Know" remixed by Epyk. By digging, I discovered that the group has been signed under the excellent French label Kitsuné. They notably released in March 2010 their first album "Tourist History". Their music combines pop and electro sounds with a ruthless efficiency, as you'll discover later in the article, with their various productions and remixes that have been inspired from their compositions.

Formed in 2007, the trio Two Door Cinema Club is native from Northern Ireland and more specifically from Bangor and Donaghadee. Composed by Alex Halliday and Sam Trimble on vocals and guitar, Kevin Baird on bass, they were joined recently by Benjamin Thompson on drums for their U.S. tour that is currently happening.

Their first EP was released in 2008 and was called "Four words to stand on". Then, it was with "Something Good Can Work" that they became more famous. This track was produced by Lexx, already authors of tracks for Bjork and Little Boots. Their style is in line with The Postal Service and Vampire Weekend.

Concerning their previous performances, they illustrated particularly themselves in November 2009 during Les Inrocks Festival in front of many artists. At the end of it, the group was considered by many specialized magazines as the worthy successors of Franz Ferdinand. More recently, even Kanye West has praised them in his blog.

If we focus on the group previously, it’s now time to talk about their music and more specifically about "What You Know" and its remixed version by a young producer: Epyk.

Discovered by chance, this track will make you dance this summer. With a very good beginning thanks to a furious guitar riff, the track gives to the voice and incomparable power. Simple in its construction, the track rises gradually in its musical intensity, with untenable drums. This track evolves in a sweet atmosphere, and I advise you to play it during your evenings in July and August. This will be a hit, and your friends will undoubtedly ask you from who is this incredible sound. This is the perfect track to relax and enjoy aperitifs next to a swimming pool or in a sunny garden.
