"When Stefaan aka Dr. Lektroluv" called them to ask if they would be up to mix the next "I Love Techno" CD they have to admit that they were super proud and very happy... They've played "I Love Techno" two times in the past and loved it each time... Also to be truly honest they both really love techno music. After numerous hiccups due to their hectic and messy way of working, way of mixing, and some mono vs stereo problems, they finally recorded this mix in Ibiza in a straight old-school "live and direct" mode.
Boombass hitting his faithful MPC sampler and Zdar in front of their beloved "3 turntables and a mixer" setup. This mix is direct, it's a no-brainer, there's no strategy, it's nothing but them digging in their record crate without preparation, to keep the ultimate risky improvisation feeling that they always preferred above everything. Basically it was recorded in one take, that they only had to edit to take some time off, as they're so old-school they don't even have a watch.
They dedicate this mix to their brother DJ Mehdi, the sun child who left us for another world. The introduction track is a sign. “We love you bro and we miss you so much."
