Robyn - Dont fucking tell me what to do (Mylo and Sharooz Mix)

Robyn, whose new single « Don’t fucking tell me what to do » is extract from her new album « Body Talk part 1 », has just released a remixed version by Mylo and Sharooz, on Ministry of Sound and Konichiwa Records. Alongside this release, the Swedish artist has put online an interactive website, including the clip of this track in 3D : http://robyn.com/killingme/. The English duo's remix is a cool track, super funky and dynamic with good underground beats.

« Don’t fucking tell me what to do » is probably one of the best tracks taken from « Body Talk part 1 » album. It was the third best selling album in the category Dance/Electronic Albums in the U.S. and number 1 of the Swedish chart. It is therefore one of the best-selling electronic music albums right now that you can’t miss. First onto the album, the remixed version gives even more energy to the original track.

The English producer Sharooz and his Scottish fellow Mylo give us a remix of high quality. Mylo remained quiet discreet for many years now following his hit "Drop the pressure". He finally surface in 2010 with two great remixes. There is the one we review here but there is also the remixed version of the Sia’s track "Breathe Me", that you can download because, in the bonus section. These remixes announce the imminent release of his new album, which will follow his debut album "Destroy Rock & Roll", released in 2004.

Regarding the track, it blends multiple moods and atmospheres. There are some samples in an 80’s and funk spirit, with good gimmicks all coupled with electro melodies. There is too a tasty bass, 80′s synths and snappy beats, just as we like. The voice that informs us that "My drinking Is Killing Me, my smoking is killing me" seems like a manifesto of the artist.

Ultimately, this remix suggests the best of Mylo for his come back on the front of electronic music scene. The man whose has splashed from his talent the electronic music world in 2004 and 2005, returns here with force, with hopefully an album just as funky and rhythmic as the tracks he released this year.
