DJ Gina Turner and Laidback Luke musically unite Manhattan and Amsterdam with their 90's and Latin inspired production outfit, to create the duo Nouveau Yorican. They will release on 8th December on Beatport and then i-Tunes, their new track “Chiuso” on Defected Records, a label known for quality house and club anthems. This brand new track is causing all the fuss, like nothing that you have heard before. “Chiuso” is thrust to our attention with its Latin inspired shuffle tech house sound. You may never have come across these guys before, even though they have already previously released “Jackit” on Mixmash Records and “Boriqua” on Sound Pelligrino, both setting them up nicely for this new release.  So you will be surprised to know that  this is a project formed by underground DJ and native New York resident Gina Turner and Dutch uber DJ Laidback Luke, both presenting the duo's modern interpretation of Latin-and 90's inspired New York house.

“Chiuso” uses a super hooky and infectious Latin guitar melody blended with driving New York style beats which is attracting our full attention.  It mixes the vibes of the past Dutch and New York underground scenes with current dancefloor sensibilities. This latest track finds that elusive spark of magic that elevates a merely good track to the upper echelons of class. “Chiuso” embeds its simple, yet devastatingly effective hook deep into your consciousness while it's techy, driving beats and relentless groove urge you to the dancefloor with irresistible force.
