Lifelike is one of my favorite artists, and his latest release "Love Emulator" confirms once again all the good that can be said about his, as a flagship of the French touch music. The EP, released on June 14 on the label Computer Science, consists of three tracks resolutely house, that evolve in a universe composed of beautiful and smooth synths, as Lifelike done so well. The productions have been performed with the vocalists Namebrand and Yota.
Lifelike - Love Emulator EP
Regarding the first two tracks of the EP, quiet similar in their respective compositions, they are featuring Yota and Namebrand, a vocalist from Los Angeles who has worked with many hip hop artists, like Kelis. She has a warm and sweet voice. This production shows us perfectly the style of Lifelike, that is to say, italo-disco samples with dynamic bass. Always so simple in its composition, the effectiveness of this track also comes from the vocal game, thanks to Namebrand and Yota’s voices who meet alternatively on a rhythm perfectly in harmony.
“Silicon Love” is in a sexy atmosphere, with a 80’s spirit, which seems timeless. It consists only of the voice of Yota with a captivating vibe. Imagine yourself lying beside a swimming pool, sun glasses on your nose, sipping a mojito with this music background... Life isn’t so nice? It's a fucking slamming music of the moment!
What a joy to listen to this EP. Frankly, Lifelike have never disappointed us and continues to amaze us, by productions with a unique and effective style. When will the next productions with his buddies Alan Braxe and Kris Menace? “Silicon Love" is the revelation of the EP and I hope it will be played many times this summer by Djs!
