You will find in this category each week, a review on a MP3 track or vinyl track which is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.

"Over" is the undisputed highlight song of GusGus' brand new album "Arabian Horse" the 8th album of the band from Reykjavík, Iceland founded in 1995 and notably known for their amazing production “David”. Right in time for high summer season we proudly present a remix package that takes no prisoners. After taking dancefloors worldwide by storm with their remix of WhoMadeWho's "Every Minute Alone", Italy's hottest export Tale Of Us, Clockwork & Tennis aka Life and Death crew, return with another mighty roller, for the first track of the EP. This EP will be released in 3 days under Kompakt Records!
TRACKLISTING – GUSGUS – OVER EP (REMIXES) [Buy it]
GusGus' music is eclectic, and although primarily classified with techno, trip-hop and house music, they have experimented with numerous other styles. They have also remixed several famous artists, including Björk, Depeche Mode, Moloko, and Sigur Rós.
That bassline definitely puts the deep back into deephouse and makes you wonder how sexy this summer will be. The Life and Death version will be for instance perfect to be played alongside a swimming pool.
Then, Mood Music's Sasse is no stranger to our label. Alongside Robert Johnson guru Ata he has remixed one of our catalogue's most cherished classics: Jürgen Paape's "Soweit wie noch nie". So it was about time to invite him again. His vocal and dub mixes perfectly catch this summer's omnipresent oldschool house vibe, very funky. The Sasse remix is for us the best track of the EP, with the version of President Bongo.
Indeed, President Bongo delivers an absolutely massive dark acidic take complete with heavenly strings and things.
And last but not least GusGus' very own Bigir Veiran takes control for another uplifting neohouse mix that is slightly reminiscent of a certain Robin S - but very different of course. This version, industrial at the beginning is less powerful than the other, but will certainly fits with more chill-out atmospheres.
