In a few days the new game "DJ Hero" will arrive. It follows the famous "Guitar Hero" video game. Since the announcement of the game's release, some video clips are turning on the Internet to promote this new game which will be released on consoles, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. There are several videos, including one based on Daft Punk "Robot Rock" and "We Will Rock You" by Queen. There is also a clip of about 2 minutes, based on the title of Justice "Genesis" version remixed with a voice of Public Enemy that you can download in the following article in high definition.
In this video that highlights the French duo Daft Punk, we are once again surprised by the originality of the composition between the samples of "Robot Rock" and the Queen production "We Will Rock You". Daft Punk is always where we do not expect them. This little one-minute video just gives us goose bumps. The image quality is breathtaking and offers us a reminder of their many lives as those of Bercy in Paris, and in the Nimes Arena. It will be therefore interested to see if the game comes to widespread this very special atmosphere? We doubt about it… The novelty: nearly 11 exclusive mixes of the group will be present in the game.
Publisher Activision has gone further in its partnerships and has also hired one of the other duets Lighthouses of the French electronic music scene: Justice. The musical version of this video was produced and remixed by DJ Z-Trip. It depicts an arm of the turntable that slowly rotates in a dark world mixing with the Matrix universe and the Star War characters for! Finally, it is could have been a good clip for the track. With the entire promotional buzz on the net this time, the output may be a tidal wave of music.
Finally, you need to know that David Guetta will be the brand ambassador for Europe. He proposes a remix of « When love takes over » at the following link.
Fairly close to "Guitar Hero" in mind, the game differs from the turntable that accompanies it. 80 mixes and remixes have been created especially for the occasion. On the turntable sell with the game, there are 3 buttons and a cross fader to handle it and become an apprentice DJ. The game will arrive first in North America October 27, and then on October 30 in Europe.
Ultimately, though many eulogies are made in respect of the game, it's still fun, as its name suggests. It should still give rise to some vocations, but "real" DJs do not have to worry about, far from it!
