Third track of the last album of Air "Love 2", the track "So is her footfall light" will be released too on a EP with a remix of Breakbot and one of our friend Metronomy, who recently astonished us with his "Heartbreaker" track. Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel, Air alias, had indeed released their sixth album early in October 2009, after two years of silence. This EP with two remixes and the original track is a good musical surprise, especially since the productions offered are quite different from each other. Special reward for the remix of Metronomy.

If I review this track today, it is due to the release of this opus of remixes, but also because in parallel the Versailles duo released a video clip for "So is her light footfall". It has been directed by Edouard Salier. It takes place in a private house. You can see a young woman going to a naughty party and our two friends in another room, all in black and white...

Released on February 22, the buzz came from the remix of Breakbot, a bearded member of the Ed Banger Team, which was widely broadcasted all over the Internet. This EP is quite mysterious.

The Breakbot version delivers the most dynamic rhythm, even if it remains in a record that alternates between pop, funk and house vibe. As for the remix of Metronomy, this is a version mixing pop rock and electronic sounds with a touch of synths and some guitar chords well found. It seems that it is a live or an acoustic version. This is by far our preferred version of the musical trio featured on this EP.
