You will find in this category each week, a review on a MP3 track or vinyl track which is breaking the news. All styles are on the “menu” of this category: minimal, house, electro, techno or even trance in some cases.
The topic will be supplemented by other albums following the latest electronic music news.
After his song "Anyway" produced with Armand Van Helden, A-Trak, the former Canadian DJ for Kanye West, comes back even stronger with a solo track "Trizzy turnt up”. The scratcher and producer repeatedly elected as the best scratcher in the world, is currently musically crazy. Recently, he works with Travis Baker, the drummer of Blink 182 for amazing live shows. He is also at the origins of "Gare du Nord" from Carte Blanche, which we will review soon, as this may be one of the biggest electronic music anthem of this summer 2010.
As we told you previously, A Trak is "The" artist of the moment. For those who don’t know him, he became first famous as scratcher, and by being elected to the age of 15 years old World DJ Champion Championship DMCs in 1997. Then, he notably produced tracks for Kid Sister and Lupe Fiasco, as well as remixes for MSTRKRFT and Boys Noize. The apogee was when Kanye West asked him to follow his world tour. He also released on his own label the classic anthem "Day 'n' Night" by Kid Cudi. More recently, he joined Travis Barker for live performances which you can see below @ Roxy in Los Angeles. Travis Barker, who worked before with DJ AM, unfortunately died, form with the Canadian A Trak a duo for a series of detonating lives. The drummer of Blink 182 and A Trak have managed to create a musical buzz highly explosive in the US.
Concerning "Trizzy turnt up" the track will be released on a special edition of the latest album of A-Trak, which was released in 2007. The man decided to give the public "Dirty South Dance" album by editing it under his personal label "Fool's Gold”. The track offers a simple and effective pop atmosphere with a good dose of energy that will awaken many clubbers. There is a good job on the vocals and a groovy beats with a voice that harmonize all of the sound that mixes electronic music and hip hop. Beware ! If you think all this comes from Canadian genius, it is a mistake. Indeed, the track is nothing but a bootleg of the track from Claude VonStroke "Vocal Chords" using a featuring of Roscoe Dash & Soulja Boy “All The Way Turnt Up”.
Just like Pharrell, some time ago, everything A Trak touches become gold. Once again he gives us a musical nugget.
